6.2.2. Load handling
• Never drive with a non-centred load (shifted towards the left or right).
• Make sure that loads can’t move freely, they may fall and cause accidents.
1. Set the forks of your lifting device in the correct position and as wide as possible for the load to be
carried
2. Adjust the forks to the correct width so you can provide a more even distribution.
3. Pick up the load parallel to the floor. Always use both forks.
4. When moving your lifting device, lift the load 200 mm from the ground.
If you are using a lift truck, make sure you tilt the mast backwards.

5. Position the centre of gravity of the load as close as possible to the centre of the equipment to
minimize lateral offset. This will reduce torque requirements and increase the stability of your
lifting device.
6. To unload the equipment, first bring the forks back to their start position. Bring the mast to a
vertical position and then slowly lower the forks.
