Procedure to replace the cooling fan module
Step Action
1.
Open the cabinet roof. See the roof access procedure.
2.
Remove the cartridge screws around the perimeter of the cooling fan module.
3.
Lift the back end of the cooling fan module and slide it backward, then up to
remove.
4.
Disconnect the two power cables by pressing both
sides of the cable plug toward the center then pulling
the plug out.
5.
Replace the old cooling fan module with the new one.
6.
Re-connect the two power cables to the new
cooling fan module.
7.
Slide the new cooling fan module into place. You may need to push excess
cabling back into the cabinet before lowering the new cooling fan module
into place flush against the cabinet.
8.
Replace and tighten all cartridge screws around the perimeter.
9.
Close the cabinet roof. See the roof closure procedure.
