Pulses
Depending on the pulse location, pulses are manually operated (carotid) or managed using the
software (brachial and radial).
The Juno Live and Complete configurations include two brachial and two radial pulse locations.
Practicing Carotid Pulse Techniques
The manikin has bilateral carotid pulses that are manually operated.
To operate the manual carotid pulse:
1. Fill the syringe with 6 ml of air and attach it to the yellow tubing.
2. Attach the carotid pulse assembly (yellow tubing and syringe) to the carotid pulse port on
the left side of the manikin.

Note:
The basic manikin configuration’s syringe will be attached to the tubing that connects to the
carotid pulse mechanism.

technique.

be adjusted by
tapping
Sounds
on the Run screen
and then the
Korotkoff tab.
Use of modified
blood pressure
cuff with T-

T-adapter to NIBP
connection .
