9A656-04 and 9A600 Configuration Guide
Chassis Ext. Temp (Read-only)
Displays the temperature, in Fahrenheit and Centigrade, of the area where the chassis is
installed. This is followed by a general temperature condition in relation to the Fahrenheit and
Centigrade values.
Board Revision (Read-only)
Displays the board revision of the environmental module.
Chassis Humidity (Read-only)
Displays the current level of humidity of the area where the chassis is installed. This is
followed by a general humidity condition in relation to the current percentage of humidity.
Fan Speeds (Selectable)
Displays the current speed setting of the environmental module fans. This field has the
following options:

AUTO MODE
•
TEST MODE
•
FULL SPEED
Auto Mode allows the environmental module to dynamically alter fan speeds to adjust to
changing temperature conditions.
Test Mode forces the environmental module to perform tests on the individual fans to ensure
all four are operating properly. After the tests are complete, this setting returns to Auto Mode.
Full Speed forces the environmental module to operate all fans at 100% percent capacity,
regardless of the temperature conditions.

Fan # (Read-only)
These fields display the current percentage of capacity at which the four fans in the
environmental module are currently operating.
COM1 (Toggle)
Displays the current configuration of the COM1 port on the environmental module. This field
toggles between ENABLED and DISABLED. To change the setting of the COM1 port refer to
Section 2.25.2
.
Application (Read-only)
The Application field for the COM1 port may not be changed. COM1 port is reserved for
Local Management use only.
