System Configuration Menu Screen
MODULE CONFIGURATION
The Module Configuration menu item opens the Module Configuration menu screen. This
screen provides access to an additional screen that displays the current port status of all front
panel (ANIM) and backplane (CTM) interfaces, and to a second screen that displays
information on any errors that have occurred on any front panel or backplane interfaces. For
details, refer to
Section 2.18
.
LANE
The LANE Menu Item opens a series of screens used to view the properties of the LAN
Emulation Client that is used for In-Band management. It also opens the LEC Administration,
which allows the user to configure the management LEC to fit the needs of the network. For
details, refer to
Section 2.21
.
2.14 SYSTEM CONFIGURATION MENU SCREEN
The System Configuration Menu screen contains three menu items that open screens that are
used to perform the following tasks:
•
Configure the 9A656-04/SmartSwitch 9500 to operate in a PNNI network.
•
Set the minimum Switched Virtual Channel Connection (SVCC) Virtual Channel Identifier
(VCI) that the 9A656-04/SmartSwitch 9500 may use.
•
Set the maximum Switched Virtual Channel Connection (SVCC) Virtual Path Identifier
(VPI) that the 9A656-04/SmartSwitch 9500 may use.
•
Set the maximum Switched Virtual Path Connection (SVPC) Virtual Path Identifier (VPI)
that the 9A656-04/SmartSwitch 9500 may use.
•
Enable or disable ATM diagnostics that the 9A656-04/SmartSwitch 9500 performs when
power to each module is cycled, or the RESET button on the front panel is pressed.
To access the System Configuration Menu screen, perform the following steps:
1.
Use the arrow keys to highlight the SYSTEM CONFIGURATION menu item from the
Configuration Menu screen.
2.
Press ENTER. The System Configuration Menu screen,
