CHANGING POWER SETTING
The Model 128/PC can be set to the other alternate power by opening the unit and changing an
internal Voltage Select switch (SW1) on the CPU Circuit Board (Figure 13) as follows:
1. Disconnect power cord from unit.
WARNING
Be sure the power is completely disconnected from the Model 128
before opening the unit and exposing the internal electronics.
Damage to the circuitry and/or injury to personnel could result.
2. Remove six Phillips-head screws holding the rear panel to the chassis and base plate.
Four (4) on the chassis and two (2) on the base plate.
3. Carefully pull the rear panel out only far enough to gain access to back of the CPU circuit
board directly behind the rear panel. (The rear panel is connected to the circuit board
with a short cable assembly.)
4. The Voltage Select switch is a red and black slide switch (labeled SW1) located on the
left-hand side of the CPU board. It has two power settings, and currently is set for the
power source indicated on the outside of the unit. Move the red slide switch to the
desired setting. For 115-volt operation, slide the switch toward the rear of the tester, and
for 220-volt operation, slide the switch towards the front of the tester.
5. Carefully replace the rear panel; install screws properly.
6. Label the power cord connector with the new power setting.
