6.3 Spark plug
Spark plug check
For the recommended spark plug see
"Specifications" (Chapter 8).
CAUTION
Using spark plugs with an improp-
er heat range can cause engine
damage.
1.Disconnect the park plug cap.
2.Clean any dirt from around the spark
plug base.
3.Remove the park plug using an spark
plug wrench.
4.Inspect the electrodes and centre
porcelain for deposits, erosion or carbon
fouling. If the erosion or deposit is heavy,
replace the plug. Clean a carbon or wet-
fouled plug with a plug cleaner, otherwise
use a wire brush.
5.Check the spark plug gap using a wire-
type feeler gauge. If adjustment is neces

sary, bend the side electrode carefully.
The electrodes gap should be
0,7 to 0,9 mm.

6. Make sure the plug washer is in good
condition.
7. With the plug washer attached, oil the
spark plug.
8. Tighten the spark plug.
Spark plug tightening torque: 25Nm
9. Reinstall the spark plug cap.
6.4 Air filter
The air filter element should be cleaned/
replaced at the intervals specified in the
service schedule. The air filter in your vehi
-
cle is wet type, we recommend you contact
a BYE BIKE dealer for maintenance.

Access the air filter element
1. Remove the screws that fasten the air
filter case cover.
2. Remove the air filter case cover and
the fastening grid
3. Pull the air filter element out.
4. Refit all components in reverse order.

6.5 Carburettor
Carburettor is an important part of your
vehicle and requires a sophisticated setting.
Therefore, all carburettor adjustments
should be performed by a BYE BIKE dealer.
