6.3.4. EMERGENCY STOP SWITCH
The emergency stop button is located on the top of the feeding chute (Pic.
20). Push the emergency stop button by pressing the button and the engine
will stop immediately. To release the emergency stop button, turn the red
button. Within half a turn, the button is released and you can restart the
machine.
7. USING THE MACHINE
7.1.1. CHIPPING BRANCHES
Always use the highest speed when chipping. Feed the bigger ends into the
chipper first when chipping branches with large diameter. Do not feed
materials in excess of the diameter indicated. Large branches will cause the
motor to stall.
The hardness of the wood depends on the wood type, the time between
pruning and chipping and how dry the branches are. The machine performs
best if the branches are chipped right after pruning. The blades will stay
sharper for longer.
The chipper will work best if the blades are sharp. Rotate, sharpen, or
replace the blades as soon as chipper/shredder performance begins to
deteriorate.
If the engine is slowing down while chipping, reduce the feeding rate of the
branches. Blunt blades may also be the problem. If the machine becomes
jammed, stop the engine immediately. Remove the blocked materials and
restart the engine.
