SAFETY
2) This products is for use on a nominal 120-V circuit and has a grounding plug similar to the
plug illustrated in sketch A. Only connect the product to an outlet having the same configura-
tion as the plug. Do not use an adapter with this product.
c)
For all other grounded, cord-connected products:
This product is for use on a circuit having a nominal rating more than 120-V (or “This
product is rated more than 15 A and is for use a circuit having a nominal rating of 120 V°”) and is
factory equipped with a specific electric cord and plug for connection to a proper electric circuit.
Only connect the product to an outlet having the same configuration as the plug. Do not use
an adapter with this product.
When the product must be reconnected for use on a different type of electric circuit the recon-
nection shall be made by qualified service personnel.
EXTENSION CORD
Use only three-wire extension cords that have three-prong grounding-type plugs and
three-pole receptacles that accept the compressor’s plug. Replace or repair damaged cord.
Make sure your extension cord is in good condition. When using an extension cord, be sure
to use one heavy enough to carry the current your product will draw. An undersized cord will
cause a drop in line voltage resulting in loss of power and overheating. Table shows the correct
size to use depending on cord length and name plate ampere rating. If in doubt, use the next
heavier gage. The smaller the gage number, the heavier the cord.
