Broadcast Write access
A broadcast write will transfer the same data to all function cards simultaneously. This can be used for
example to start/stop all function cards at the same time. A broadcast write can be done by writing to the
defined address range in the motherboard address space (see VXIbus Address Map). VXIbus cylces are
mapped as:
D16 Single write
FC-card Single Word Transfer Write
D16 BLT write
FC-card Block Transfer Write
D32 Single write
FC-card Block Transfer Write (two 16-bit words) *
D32 BLT write
FC-card Block Transfer Write (n x two 16-bit words) *
Function cards accessed can be selected using the FCMASK register (bit 7 to bit 0). The 32-bit to two 16-bit
word transfer order depends on the VME_ORDER bit (Util register).
Internal Resources
Trigger status register with update (32 bit word)
Holds the actual level of the Trigger lines.
Trigger status register without update (32 bit word read only)
An interrupt request from the trigger matrix updates the register to allow the application program to
determine the interrupting source.
