Additional Features
Mold Cyl
i
nder Pre-Warming
When power is activated to the SimpliMet 3000 and the front control panel is on, the mold
cylinder is automatically pre-warmed and maintained to a temperature approximately 105
F (40
C) even when the mold closure is open. The Pre-Warming feature is automatically deactivated
during manual cooling (when the MANUAL COOL function is ON).
Mold Closure Sensor
The mold closure prevents the cycle from being activated when the mold closure is not in the
locked position and when CYLINDER OPEN appears on the LCD screen.
HEATING and COOLING
The LCD screen will display HEATING or COOLING in the lower right-hand corner, indicating the
section of an automatic cycle. The time remaining in either a heating or cooling cycle is also
displayed.
Auto RAM Up / Down
Once a cycle is complete, press the RAM MOVE button until AUTO RAM UP is displayed on the
LCD Screen. The RAM will continue to rise until it reaches the top.
To lower the RAM, press and hold the RAM MOVE button until AUTO RAM DOWN is displayed
on the LCD Screen. The RAM will lower about ¾ of the way to the bottom of the cylinder.
For duplex mold applications, after the AUTO RAM DOWN command is complete, manually
press the RAM all the way down so it sits at the bottom of the cylinder.
