Activating the terminating resistor
In order to ensure a troublefree operation, a 120
W
terminating resistor must be connected
to the last device of a CAN bus.
ƒ
For Public CAN, the terminating resistor is integrated in each device. It is activated by
two bridges:
– Bridge between X31/1 (CAN_H_TERM_PUBLIC) and X31/2 (CAN_H_PUBLIC)
– Bridge between X31/11 (CAN_L_TERM_PUBLIC) and X31/3 (CAN_L_PUBLIC)

For Private CAN. no terminating resistor is integrated. The terminating resistor must
be connected externally.
