3.11 ANSWER ON NOTICE OF CALL
If during a conversation another call (telephone or door entry) arrives the exchange sends a notice of call
tone to the lifted receivers and the other enabled telephones ring.
You can answer normally by lifting the receiver of one of the free telephones.
Instead, to answer from one of the telephones which is already busy and which has received the notice
of call, proceed as follows:
Hang up to finish the call in progress.
Wait for the telephone to ring.
Lift the receiver and start the new call.
In the case of a telephone call with an outside caller, if you do not want to terminate the conversation,
but to continue it later, press
R
and

with touch-tone telephones or
1
and
2
with pulse-dial telephones;
the current conversation is put on hold and you can answer the second call (
change caller
).
At this point you can:

Finish the second call and continue with the interrupted conversation
Proceeding as follows:
Hang up.
Wait for the call signal.
Lift the receiver.
B. Finish the interrupted conversation and continue with the second call
Proceeding as follows:
Press
R
and
1
with touch-tone telephones or
1
and
2
with pulse-dial telephones
Finish the conversation and hang up.
Wait for the call signal.
Lift the receiver.

Put the second call through to another telephone
as follows:
Press
R
with touch-tone telephones or
1
with pulse-dial telephones and dial the extension number
required.
Wait for the person called to answer.
Hang up. If the extension called is busy, or does not answer, the line can be regained by pressing
R
with touch-tone telephones or
1
with pulse-dial telephones.
The telephone rings and, lifting the receiver, you can continue the first telephone conversation again.
