3.12 CAPTURE CALL WITH ANSWERING MACHINE SERVICE
A call sent to the answering machine can be intercepted using the “ capture call ” service.
The extension programmed as answering machine works as follows:
- it does not ring during a general call
- it allows remote activation from an outside telephone line even if this is used by the answering
machine sending the pre-recorded message
The procedure to activate the service must be performed by another telephone assigned to the same
division as the answering machine and is as follows:
0 1 4
After the answering machine has started to work
lift the receiver
Dial the number of the extension to which the
answering machine is connected (e.g.
401 )
The conversation can start
Warning : when a multi-function device is used which performs all the answering machine , fax
and modem functions, an extension can be programmed for the three services simultaneously, as
described in the “Simplified programming” section of the installer manual.
