Standard text entry
With standard text entry you can enter a word by
pressing each letter button a number of times to
display the character you want on the screen. For
example, to write the word “Hello”, press

twice,
3
twice,
5
three times,
5
three times and
6
three times.
Writing tips for standard text entry
1. If you make a mistake, press
Clear
to delete the
last character/digit to the left of the cursor.
2. Press
LEFT
or
RIGHT
navigation button to move
the cursor through the characters/digits.
Characters/digits are entered to the left of the
cursor.
3. Press
and release
0
to insert a space. Press
and
hold
0
to insert a 0.
4. Press
1
to enter any of the following: . ,
–
? ! etc.
5. Press
and release
as a shortcut to the
‘insert symbol’ table, then use
UP
or
DOWN
to
highlight the symbol you want and select
OK
to
insert it into your message.
6. To enter a number, press
and hold
the required
number button until the number is displayed.
7. Press
Back
to go back to the previous screen.
8. The cursor automatically moves to the right after a
couple of seconds. So when the next letter is on
the same button as the one you have just entered,
wait for the cursor to move to the right before
trying to enter it.
