7.0 MAINTENANCE AND TROUBLESHOOTING
PROBLEM
POSSIBLE CAUSE / SOLUTION
Lift does not operate.
+/- power connection to unit is loose. Verify that
remote backlight is on. If unit is not in stowed
position, verify that mast light is on.
Lift does not operate (will not run with rear
vehicle door open)
Verify that the remote backlight is on.
Dead vehicle battery. Charge, test and replace if
necessary.
Lift operates slowly, lacks power or stalls
Weak vehicle battery. Attempt to start vehicle
to determine if battery is weak. Charge battery
before attempting to operate lift.
Load is too heavy. Do not exceed maximum rated
lift capacity of 350 lbs (159 kg).
Vehicle parked on uneven ground. Move vehicle
to level ground.
Temperature in vehicle too hot or too cold. Start
vehicle engine to lower/raise temperature.
Platform is not moving in direction
indicated on remote.
Limit switch accidentally pressed. Reset circuit
board by passing back of remote over door safety
switch. Remote light should turn off, then back on.
Top remote button should move platform UP and IN.
Platform has stopped moving but is not at
top or bottom
Have an Bruno dealer inspect the lift and repair if
necessary.
Lift travels out but not down
Check the OUT limit switch. Have unit adjusted
and repaired if necessary by an Bruno dealer.
Lift stops at end of travel
To reset the printed circuit board (PCB), wave the
remote by the door safety switch. The magnet in
the remote will reset the PCB.
Take the vehicle and lift to an authorized Bruno dealer for complete inspection and any necessary repairs/
replacements once a year (more frequently if the lift is used under strenuous conditions).
