Uncrating the SMART X2S
Moving the Crate to a Staging Location
1.
Begin by moving the crate to a staging location, clear on all sides, where the SMART
X2S can be safely uncrated and moved.
Unscrewing the Crate
1.
Use a screw gun to remove the top and sides of the crate.
Removing the Shipping Materials
1.
Remove any miscellaneous items (e.g., documentation, accessory kit) from the inside of
the crate.
2.
Remove and unpack the four carrying handles that are included with the unit.
3.
Remove the plastic shipping cover.
Removing the Unit from the Skid
1.
Four bolts attach the SMART X2S’ two wooden “outriggers” to the skid. Remove them.
2.
Install the carrying handles by inserting them and rotating them to their locking positions.
3.
Raise the SMART X2S and turn it 90°, so that the two “outriggers” are elevated off the
ground.

4.
Unscrew and remove the “outriggers”.
Moving the Unit to its Installed Location
1.
Use the carrying handles to move the unit to its installed location.
NOTE:
Observe proper safety and lifting
precautions when moving the unit.
2.
Retain all shipping materials in case the unit must be returned to Bruker.
