Troubleshooting
If no response can be seen from the photocells in the
Level Meter
:
1) Check that the amber LED on the front of the photocell is illuminated, showing that
the photocell is powered and properly aligned to the reflector. If it is not, bring the
reflector close to the photocell to see if it is a reflector alignment problem.
2) Ensure that the photocell cable has been connected to the correct input on the
Connection Module and the output has been connected to the correct input channel
(5) on the LAN-XI front end. (If the cable is connected correctly the green status LED
around the connector will be illuminated.)
a) Unplug the cable from the Connection Module and then plug it in again, the
LED on the Connection Module connector should blink red and then green for
one second each before flashing red and green and switching off.
b) Trigger the photocell (there is a 10 second hold-off per photocell) and see if
the corresponding LED flashes green for one second and the output BNC
channel 5 LED flashes blue.
3) Check the high-pass filter for the photocell trigger signal channel in the software –
it should be set to
DC
.
a) Press
<Ctrl+2>
on the keyboard to open the Measurement Organiser.
b) Right-click
