11) You can now enter an IP address in line with the those given in Table 6.1 or according
to your own IT policy.
Note 1:
When you change the IP address from
192.168.1.20
to an address outside of
192.168.1.x
, you will not be able to communicate with the WLAN hardware until you
reconfigure your PC Ethernet LAN card to an IP address within the same family. See
Table 6.1 for suggested IP addresses.
Note 2:
Although we have suggested you set security to “Disable”, you are free to configure the
system with a suitable security protocol. There is a range of options available in the
AirOS™ software.
6.2.3 Vehicle Station Installation
Warning!:
Confirm that the WLAN PoE Adapter is connected to the Wireless Radio before
beginning installation. This is important otherwise the WLAN unit will be damaged
irreparably.
1) Slide open the cover at the bottom of the adapter to plug in a Cat. 6 LAN patch cable.
2) Connect the WLAN system’s adapter to the front end frame using the LAN cable.
