Connection of the PC or terminal requires Cable AO-1451, provided with your system.
PC Setup and Connections
Note: A predefined hyperterminal connection can be found under Start , Programs ,
PULSE , Utilities , IDAe Hyperterminal . If you choose to use this, go directly to step 12)
on page 44.
As an example, the following procedure sets up a Hyperterminal under Windows
®
2000 (the
procedure is similar for Windows
®
XP), allowing you to use your PC as a VT100 terminal.
You can, however, use any suitable terminal program.
1) Make sure that the PULSE front-end is switched off.
2) Select Start , Programs , Accessories , Communications , Hyperterminal to start Hyperteminal.
3) When the Hyperterminal asks for a Connection Description (New Connection), give the
new connection a Name and choose an Icon . Click OK .
