GEARCASE

ASSEMBLY

The lipped portion of the seals should face toward
the water pump. Apply

Triple-Guard

grease to the

seal lips.

Install gasket and oil seal housing. Tighten screws
securely

Shift Rod/Shift Cam Assembly

Apply

Triple-Guard

grease to the shift rod guide o-

rings.

Slide complete shift rod guide and o-rings on the
shift rod and install pin.

Attach magnet and spacer to shift rod.

Attach the shift cam to shift rod and insert pin.

Install the shift rod assembly in the gearcase with
the stepped face of the cam facing the propeller.

Install guide stopper in the gearcase and secure
with screws.
