Subsection 01 (FRONT AND REAR BRAKES)

1. Brake light switch connectors

Unscrew master cylinder holder bolts.

2. Bolts

Remove master cylinder of front brake lever.

Installation

Master Cylinders of Front or Rear Brake Levers

For installation, reverse the removal procedure.
However, pay attention to the following.

Install the master cylinder holder with the arrow in
the proper position.

Master Cylinder of LH Rear Brake Lever

Refill rear brake lever circuit.

Bleed rear brake system.



WARNING

Bleed rear brake lever and rear brake pedal
circuits before riding vehicle.

Master Cylinder of RH Front Brake Lever

Refill and bleed front brake circuit.



WARNING

Bleed front brake circuit before riding vehicle.

REAR BRAKE PEDAL

Inspection

Check rear brake pedal for cracks or distortion.
Replace if necessary.

Check brake pedal spring for distortion. Replace
if necessary.

Removal

Remove the RH footrest. Refer to

BODY

Detach brake pedal spring and brake pedal switch
spring.
