Remove the spent drum by rotating and pulling upwards
(Figure 5.7).
Clean the drum unit, transfer roller and corona assembly with
dry, filtered, ionized, compressed air (Figure 5.8).
Remove the drum axle from the drum unit (Figure 5.6).
Remove the white locking retainer and black stabilizer ring
from the drum axle and set them aside.
Use a small, slotted screwdriver to press the tab on the locking
bearing (Figure 5.4A) and remove the bearing using needle
nose pliers (Figure 5.4B).

Push the drum axle on the contact side of the drum unit toward
the drive side until the small white locking retainer and black
stabilizer ring are visible (Figure 5.5).
