illustrates the AC power consuption for a fully configured chassis at idle, nominal, and
maximum power demandswith different numbers of power supplies installed.
CAUTION
For the NEBS-compliant installation of a Brocade VDX 8770-8 with AC or DC systems, use a
ground wire of at least 2 AWG. The ground wire should have an agency-approvedcrimped
connector (proveided with te device) attached to one end, with the other end attached to building
ground. The connector must be crcimped with the proper tool, allowing to be connected to both
ground screws on the enclosure. Before crimping the ground wire into the provided ground lug,
ensure that the bare copper wire has been cleaned and antioxidant is applied to the bare wire.

Do not install the router in an environment where the operating ambient temperature might
exceed 40°C (104°F).

non-operating conditions are also provided for acceptable storage and transportation
environments.
