G610 Switch Hardware Installation Guide
•
Use Electronic Industries Association (EIA) standard racks. Provide space in a 19-inch (48.3 cm) EIA rack, as required
for the device type, with a minimum distance of 24 in. (60.96 cm) and a maximum distance of 32 in. (81.28 cm)
between the front and back posts.
•
The rack kit is designed so that the device is installed with the nonport side flush with the front posts of the rack.
•
Two people are required to install the device in a rack. One person holds the device, while the other secures the device
to the rack.
•
Before mounting your device, review any specific installation and facility requirements in the hardware installation
guide for the device.
•
Hardware devices illustrated in these procedures are only for reference and may not depict the device you are
installing into the rack.
Time and Items Required
Allow 15 to 30 minutes to complete this procedure.
The following items are required to install a device using the Nonport-Side Fixed-Rack Mount Kit (15 in–20 in.):

Rack mount kit
•
No. 2 Phillips screwdriver with torque capability
CAUTION
Use the screws specified in the procedure. Using longer screws can damage the device.

The following parts are provided with the 1U and 2U Nonport-Side Fixed-Mount Rack Kit (15 in.–20 in.) for Four-Post
Racks (XNA-000072 and XNA-100072).
