Installing dual Networkers on a system
The new Networker N-C3 now allows two Networkers to be installed onto the one
system.
When installing two Networkers on a system, they must be wired in parallel to the
system; they cannot be wired in series as they will not function correctly. The
Networkers are not polarity sensitive.
Both Networkers must be identified individually so that they can communicate
together. One of the Networkers must be the master and the other must be the slave.
On a dual Networker installation the Master Networker always stores all of the
installer and service parameters, and all of the customers settings eg. Programming
and clock settings; The Master Networker can be identified by the CLOCK key, when
the Networker is in the OFF position.
Note: Only the Master Networker can access the installer or service
parameters.
There is only one room temperature set point, which can be adjusted on either
Networker. An Adjustment that is made on one Networker is immediately reflected on
the other Networker.
Once each Networker is given its specific Networker ID number or address (Master=1
or Slave=2), they can be assigned to operate the zones according to difference
between the sensed temperature and the set temperature. Every Zone must be
assigned a Networker for temperature control, The Master Networker is the default
Networker for every zone. However this can be altered to the most appropriate
Networker (e.g. Networker: 2 = Slave).
A new parameter has been added to the Networker zoning parameters to allow for
this Networker Zone assigning.
