Seeding
1.
Raise the seeder above ground.
2.
Engage the PTO.
3.
Slowly lower the seeder until the front and
rear rollers support the seeder.
4.
Drive forward several feet.
5.
Verify that the machine is cutting the
desired depth of groove and that the rear
rollers are operating in the desired path.
6.
Stop at the end of each row before raising
the seeder to prevent the rear packer
wheels and seed drive mechanism from
coasting and depositing too much seed at
row ends.
7.
After seeding a known amount of acres,
determine how much seed you have used
by using the volume chart below. This can
be a double check to determine if your
seed meter setting is correct.
8.
When finished, clean out the seed box and
run the seed cups until empty.
