Remove the bolt, pull the complete
air filter housing to the side or
forwards. Please make sure that
foreign objects cannot fall into
the carburettor. Then lift off the
cover upwards.
Disassemble the complete air filter
and clean all the parts.
Maintaining the Foam Element:
Wash the foam element in liquid
detergent and water (replace with
a new foam element if it is very
dirty or damaged). Press dry in a
clean cloth.
Soak the foam element in motor
oil.
Press out in a clean cloth to
remove the excess oil. Install all the
parts again in the reverse order
and fasten securely to the carburet-
tor with a bolt.
Clean the Cooling Air Paths
Clean the cooling ribs and air
grille to remove mowing residue.
A
Warning! You must allow
the motor to cool. Some
areas on the surface of the motor
become very hot.
Servicing the Motor
You should take your lawnmower
to be checked at an authorised
repair shop every 2 – 3 years to
ensure that the motor is running
properly (have the valves adjusted,
etc.).
Care
The easiest way to remove dirt
and grass cuttings is directly after
mowing. Unplug the spark plug
connector and tilt the lawnmower
so that it is not resting on the
spark plug side / carburettor side.
Clean your lawnmower with
a brush and cloth.
Storage
A
Warning! Allow the motor
to cool before carrying your
lawnmower and storing it indoors.
Never store your lawnmower with
petrol in the fuel tank in a building
where the petrol vapours could
come into contact with a naked
flame or sparks.
Always store your lawnmower
indoors.
The guide bar can be folded
together to save space.
A
Warning! Make sure that
you do not trap the Bowden
cables when folding and unfolding
the lawnmower handle.
Notes on Storage (Wintering)
If you are planning to store your
motor longer than 30 days, empty
the tank outdoors before storing
and soak up the remaining petrol
with a lint-free cloth. Then allow the
motor to run until it stops due to
a lack of fuel. Unscrew the spark
plug, pour 1 tablespoon of motor
oil into the cylinder. Turn the motor
by slowly pulling the starter handle
so that the oil is distributed then
screw the spark plug back in.
When you have removed dirt and
mowing residue we recommend
that you clean your lawnmower
with a preservative product.
