Governed Idle

OHV Twin cylinder engines have a governed idle
system. A throttle restrictor permits the engine to maintain
engine speed when a light load is applied with the
equipment control in the SLOW position, Fig. 2.

Remote Control Wire Travel
In order to make proper remote control adjustments, the
travel of the remote control wire must not be less than 35
mm (1-3/8”) with controls mounted in equipment, Fig. 3.

Speed Control Wire Adjustment
1. Loosen control casing clamp at governor control brack-
et,
2. Move speed control lever to ‘‘FAST” position.
3. Move control casing and wire in direction shown by ar-
row until governor control swivel is at end of travel,

4. Tighten casing clamp screw.

Choke Control Adjustment
Place choke control lever on equipment in “CHOKE”
position. Loosen control casing clamp screw. Move control
casing and wire until choke is completely closed. Tighten
casing clamp screw, Fig. 5.
