Television seems 'dead' -

Mains supply missing.
Main power switch is off.
Blown fuse or circuit
breaker.
Check the power switches
on the television and at the
power outlet. Check power
is present at the outlet.
Check the fuse or circuit
breaker at your main fuse
box. Look for a possible
cause of failure before you
replace or re-set it.
Does not respond to
remote or local controls.
“Stuck” on stand-by.
Micro-controller confused
by electrical disturbance.
Switch off main power and
wait five minutes before
trying again. (Leave the
TV unplugged and call a
service engineer if this
does not work.)
Does not respond to
certain controls on the TV
or remote control.
Channel, installation, child
or keyboard lock is
switched on (if fitted).
