8.3 Parking brake test
After the front axle binding test is
complete, the operator must carry out the
parking brake test. If the parking brake
is located on the front axle then the test
will continue, otherwise a prompt will be
shown to instruct the operator to move
the vehicle forward and place the rear
axle in the rollers.
When the software detects that the wheels are
in place, the rollers will automatically start.
The operator is prompted to slowly apply the
parking brake to maximum. When the
maximum effort is reached and either wheel
locks, the rollers will stop and the test results
are shown on the display.
Note: If both wheels lock then the parking
brake will automatically pass the test,
regardless of the efficiency achieved.
