9 Trouble shooting & maintenance
If the RBT does not function, as it should, the operator should only take action when the failure appears to be
very simple to solve. For example changing the battery on the remote control or cleaning the IR receiver for
better signal receiving of the remote control.
The RBT is designed and constructed so maintenance can be reduced to a minimum.
Only the service technicians are allowed to perform adjustments. They are trained and have suitable
calibration instruments at their disposal.
Although the RBT involves very little maintenance, it is important that the following instructions are carried
out properly:
♦
Check the roller coating twice a year (visually by the operator).
♦
Check the tension of the chains every four months.
♦
Lubricate the chain every 3 months when used intensively.
For periodic maintenance, calibration and service contact the Boston service department or your local
distributor.
Warning: Do not use high pressure or steam cleaners on the RBT.
The brake tester should be kept clean
and dust-free. Clean the sheet metal with a lukewarm soap solution. Do not use any aggressive or abrasive
detergents. Do not spray the units with water.
