Boat Operation
Main Engine Key Switches
Your boat is equipped with two main engine key
switches. The key switches are located at the helm
station. The key switches control the starting, running,
and stopping of the outboard engines. The key
switches also control the operation of certain engine
accessory systems.
Each switch has a unique key that can only be
removed when the switch is in the OFF position.
Record and save the key number following the instruc-
tions in Section 6.
• You
must
turn the engine battery OFF-ON
switches to the ON position before you use the
main engine key switches.
• You
must
turn the main engine key switches to
the OFF position after you secure the engines
from service.
• You
should
turn the engine battery OFF-ON
switches to the OFF position after you secure the
engines from service.

DANGER
Never start or operate the engines when people
are in the water near your boat. Contact with
the boat, engines, or rotating propellers can
cause serious injury or death.
