Required instruments:
•
CO2 measuring equipment
•
Draft measuring equipment
•
Oil pressure gauge/Gas pressure meter
•
Stack thermometer
•
Smoke tester
B
Check the combustion chamber pressure at the test
port.
B
Check the breeching draft at a test port drilled in the
vent connector (chimney vent models only).

Raising flue gas temperature
For the set flue gas temperature for the boiler see the
technical data (
Æ
Chapter 2.7, page 9).
You may raise the flue gas temperature if you discover
during tests that the flue gas temperature is too low for
the type of chimney used (risk of condensation) by one
or several of the following measures:
B
Removing flue gas baffle plates
-or-
B
Removing the flue gas check plate.
B
Shut down the heating system (
Æ
Chapter 8.1,
page 40).
7.6.1
Removing flue gas baffle plates
You can remove the baffle plates in pairs to raise the flue
gas temperature.
B
Open burner door by removing the two hexagon bolts
at the sides.
B
Remove the baffle plates towards the front.
B
Close burner door with the two hexagon bolts
(approx. 90 inch-lbs (10 Nm)) Tighten the hexagon
bolts evenly to properly seal the burner door.
B
Re-check the flue gas temperature.

gas flue)
Incorrect burner adjustment can cause
contamination of the boiler (e.g. soot),
leading to low efficiency, high emissions,
and a greater risk of service calls.
B
Always check combustion with the
following instruments.
B
Never adjust burner visually.
1
6 720 648 030-16.1T
CAUTION:
Risk of explosion due to
escaping gas.
B
Shut off the main shut-off valve if the gas
line to the gas burner must be
disconnected to open the burner door.
Route the remaining escaping gas
outdoors.
CAUTION:
Risk of burning by touching hot
boiler parts.
B
Wear appropriate protective gloves or
use pliers.
