10.2 Maintenance
The present section provides information on how a specific mainte­
nance work has to be carried out.
The complete list with the required activities is provided in Section 10.1
„Maintenance schedule“.
10.2.1 Battery replacement
A battery is integrated into the unit for buffering the main memory (con­
taining all parameter settings with all welding programs) and the internal
clock.
When the remaining battery power becomes critical
• the timer generates a fault or a warning (subject to configuration)
which appears in the BOS error table and
• the BATTERY FAULT LED on the timer front panel is lit.

Welding is not possible if the event is defined as a fault message.
NOTICE
Replacement of battery with logic supply switched off

Have a new battery ready at hand for replacement and insert the
new battery immediately after removing the spent battery.
If no 24V
DC
supply voltage is present and when the battery has been
removed, buffering of the weld timer's main memory is guaranteed
for max. 24 hours only.
