Connect potential equalization line
The motors for potentially explosive areas have an additional ground lug on
the motor flange for this purpose. Use the potential equalization on the motor
over the cable to the potential equalization of the machine or installation and
tighten the screwed connections.

Commissioning
Explosion hazard due to non-acceptance of
the overall system!
WARNING
The commissioning in potentially explosive areas is prohibited, until it has
been ascertained that the overall system corresponds to the requirements
and certification stipulations for explosion protection.
Damage to property due to errors in the con‐
trols of motors and moving elements! Unclear
operating states and product data!
CAUTION
Do not perform a commissioning, if ...
●
the connections, operating states or product data are unclear or faulty.
●
the safety equipment and monitoring of the system is damaged or not in
operation.
Never use any damaged products.
Contact Rexroth for missing information or support during commissioning.
Preparation
1.
Have the documentation of all products used ready at hand.
2.
Check the products for damage.
3.
Check all mechanical and electrical connections (incl. the potential
equalization line!).
4.
Record all measures taken in the commissioning log.
5.
Activate the safety and monitoring equipment of the system.
Procedure
When all requirements are met, proceed as follows:
1. Commission the drive system according to the instructions of the corre‐
sponding product documentation. You can find the respective informa‐
tion in the functional description of the drive control devices.
2. Record all measures taken in the commissioning log.
Sometimes, additional steps may be required for commissioning controllers
and control units. The inspection of the functioning and performance of the
systems is not object of these operating instructions; instead, it is carried out
