Polarity reversal of the X1S1 and X10 connectors can destroy the device,
if there is not additional external protection (fire danger). This is caused by the
simultaneous grounding of the 0 V of the device and of the 0 V (PELV) (1).
Cable length between 24 V power supply unit and VAM max. 6 m at a minimum
cross-section of 0.75 mm .
Cable length between 24 V power supply unit and VAM max. 10 m at a minimum
cross-section of 1.5 mm .

X71: Fieldbus Interface PROFIBUS DP X71
7.4.1
General Information
Connector X71 provides at the VP connection 5 V / 100 mA ISO voltage. Do
not use any bus terminating resistors, but only a bus load. Thus, a hand-held
terminal or an Optical Link Plug (OLP) [conversion RS485/Opto] can be con‐
nected.
Optical PROFIBUS networks in ring topology can be established by the OLP.
