The module is connected to the logic circuit board via the internal shift register
bus. The switch positions of the both rotary switches are transmitted to the
master control via PROFIBUS DP.

Equipment with 22.5 mm Switching Elements (Control and Indicator
Units)
The VAM 12.1/VAM 42.1 machine control panels can be equipped with
22.5 mm sized operating and display elements. For this purpose the front panel
is provided with pre-milled cutouts. The switching elements can be application-
specific wired by the customer. The number of slots varies between the single
hardware configurations.
