SAFE TRAY 

 
It is a requirement of the National Plumbing Code AS/NZS3500.4.2 that new water heaters be 

installed in a safe tray where in the event of a leak, property may be damaged (ie internal 

installations).  Installation of such trays must comply with Clause 4.4 and Sub-Clauses 1 to 5 

of the abovementioned Code. 

 

  
HOT WATER DELIVERY 

 
This heater supplies water at a temperature exceeding 50

o

C. A tempering valve must be fitted 

between the water heater and the outlets in bathrooms and ensuites to comply with the water 

temperature requirements of AS 3500.4.
