Always check every time
before use!
• The personal protective equipment (PPE) may
no longer be used in the case of even very mi-
nor faults.
• Faulty PPE components may only be tested or
repaired by BORNACK or in a workshop au-
thorised in writing by BORNACK.
• Regular inspections are essential because the
safety of the user depends on the efficiency
and durability of the PPE.
• The user must have completely read and un-
derstood the User Manual before use.
VISUAL INSPECTION
• PPE complete: all components in place.
• Check that the system is undamaged. All
seams are undamaged. There are no visible
signs of damage to the textile components
nor can faults be felt with the hands.
• Are there no obvious signs of damage to the
fittings, D-rings, buckles or connectors acc. to
EN 362.
• Product identification legible.
• The last inspection by an expert was carried
out within the past 12 months.
FUNCTION TEST
• The fasteners and locks of the connectors acc.
to EN 362 are functional.
• The lanyard (harness strap) can be pulled out
completely.
• Slider for the setting function of the pull-out
length min. / max. works.
• The memory function for repeated pull-out to
the set length works.
• Blocking function when jerked is activated,
also for maximum length adjustment.
