The cooktop extractor must only be operated 

with BORA cooktops.

The cooktop extractor can only be operated if 

the grease filter components are installed.

7.1  General operating instructions

The cooktop extractor is controlled using the control knob. 

There are 9 power levels, 1 power setting and various 

functions available:

7.2  Operating the cooktop extractor

Recommendations for efficient vapour extraction

Always use a lid on pots that are particularly high. This 

ensures effective vapour extraction. It also reduces 

power consumption.

Only operate the cooktop extractor at the minimum 

 power level required for effective vapour extraction. 

This enables you to improve the performance of the 

odour filters in recirculation mode.

Only operate the hob at the minimum power level 

 required for cooking. This reduces the cooking vapours 

and the power consumption.

Avoid strong drafts.

7.2.1  Switching on the cooktop extractor

Turn the knob ring from the 12 o-clock position to 

the power level you want. The knob clicks in at the 

 different  levels.

Avoid undefined interim positions.

If the control knob ring is turned to an 

 undefined interim setting, the most recently 

selected power level is automatically activated.

Twist the knob ring to the 10 o’clock position.

The cooktop extractor will run for a maximum of 

9 minutes on the power setting. P is displayed on the 

power display on the control knob.

7.2.2  Automatic cooktop extractor function

The extraction power is generally adjusted 

30 seconds after the power level is set on the 

cooktop.

Twist the knob ring to the 11 o’clock position.

If now power level is yet set on one of the cooktops 

connected,

 is shown on the control knob display.

If, for example, one of the cooktops connected is set 

to power level

the extraction power is automatically adjusted with a 

30 second delay.

If all the cooking zones connected are switched off or 

temporarily stopped, the automatic after-run starts.
