Pots and pans
Never place pots, saucepans and frying pans with uneven bases on
the gas hob, as they could topple over.
Using pots and pans with base diameters that match the
size of the burner ensures short heating times and good
heat distribution. The base of the saucepan should always
be large enough to prevent flames from appearing along
the side of the pot. To make best use of the heat of the
flame, it should spread across the entire base area.
Place the pot or pan on the hob so that the flame is at the
centre of the base.
Saucepans and pots with thick bases provide the best heat distribution.
You can save energy, time and money by using the pots and saucepans
that match the size of the burner.
