Casting with the BD CMT
BD CMT
-15-
Position molding pillows and customer
to reach 90 – 90 – 90 angles of the hip,
knee, and ankle.
3)
Ensure that the BD Wax matches the bottom
shape of the foot by manually moving the wax
to fill voids beneath the arch or around the heel.
Pay attention the following points:
1)
Don’t stand in the CMT. Foot casting takes
place almost un-weighted.
2)
The BD Wax will follow the bottom shape of the
foot and make contact along the entire undersi-
de of the foot, but it should not push excessively
against the foot.
3)
Both left and right feet should feel similar to the
customer.
7.1 Note for Arch type
Low arch
Extremely flat feet might require remove the foot and manually smooth the BD wax in the
arch area and begin again.
High arch
High Arches may need much BD wax benath them.
Higher arches may require that you push BD Wax into the void space below the arch.
