Caution
Run the engine warm for a short while before
starting work (Fig. 10) .

Once the engine has run warm for a short
while the vibratory plate is ready for operation.
!
Caution
When the engine is running keep the ignition
key in position "I".
If the starting procedure takes longer than 10
seconds, wait for at least 15 seconds before
trying again.
Too long operation of the starter motor will dis-
charge the battery.

Starting with jump leads

Note
Choose this starting method if the starter battery is
discharged.

Remove the cover from the battery.

Caution
Wrong connections will cause tremendous
damage in the electric system.
The auxiliary battery must have the same volt-
age as the normal starter battery.

Open the front covering hood (Fig. 11) .

Connect the plus poles on auxiliary battery
and starter battery with the jump wire (Fig. 12)
