Enable SNMP Trap
check box: when checked, error messages are sent automatically to the
SNMP Manager(s).
-
Version V1/V2C
: choice of the protocol version. Version V2C is more recent and secure.
-
SNMP Manager 1/2/3
: IP addresses of the servers receiving alerts from the clocks.
SNMP Manager redundancy increases the reliability of alerts.
-
Community
: a set of clocks defined by the user. It is essential that all the clocks in the network
have the same Community name.
-
Synchronisation failure
: this setting is used to detect synchronisation discrepancies with the
master clock (Sigma type) or the time server (Netsilon type):
Multicast: alarm triggered when the multicast synchronisation is absent for at least one hour.
Unicast: alarm triggered when the unicast synchronisation is absent for three times the
duration of the poll (periodicity) and at least one hour (allowing for the NTP server maintenance).
-
Hands position control
: this setting is used to detect hands position failures.
-
Shock*
: when checked, this setting is used to detect an impact on the clock.
-
Open case*
: when checked, this setting is used to detect whether the clock case is open.
-
Lighting failure*
: when checked, this setting is used to detect a failure with the clock lighting.
-
Battery failure*
: when checked, this setting is used to detect low battery level on the clock.
-
Battery maintenance*
: this setting is used to define the lifespan of the battery (from 20 months
to 50 months).
-
Power failure
: when checked, this setting is used to detect a power supply failure.
When the clock has a battery, the alarm is sent after a set period (configurable) without
mains power supply. When the clock does not have a battery, the alarm is sent when the clock is
rebooted.
-
Temperature
: this setting is used to warn that the processor temperature has exceeded the
upper or lower threshold (variable temperature range).
-
Periodic Status
: with this setting enabled, an alarm is issued periodically (configurable duration)
to indicate to the SNMP manager that it is still “live”. The alarm corresponds to the status of the
clock.
* not available in basic supervision
Information
: the errors or failures reported are minor and do not necessarily require
intervention by a maintenance technician to correct the failure.
Warning
: the errors or failures reported are
significant and require intervention by a
maintenance technician to correct the failure.
Critical
: the errors or failures reported are
serious
and require urgent intervention by a
maintenance technician to correct the failure.
The
Save
button is used to save any settings entered on this page.
The
Send status trap
button is used to send a status trap to all of the configured SNMP managers
to ensure that supervision is configured correctly.
