in five seconds after ABS
warning light goes out.
ABS warning light remains
off.
If the ABS self—diagnosis is
not completed, ABS warn-

As an alternative to pressing

off and then on again.
If the ABS light con-

Chassis settings
Spring preload
The spring preload on the
rear wheel must be adapted
to the load of the motorcy-
cle. Increase spring preload
when the motorcycle is heav-
ily loaded and reduce spring
preload accordingly when the
motorcycle is lightly loaded.
Damping
The damping must be adjust-
ed to the spring preload and
the road conditions. An in-
crease in spring preload re-
quires firmer damping, a re-
duction in spring preload re-
quires softer damping.
Spring preload
Adjusting spring preload
for rear wheel
Your motorcycle's han-
dling will suffer if you do
not match the spring-preload
and damping-characteristic
settings.
Adjust the damping char-
acteristic to suit the spring
preload.
Adjusting the spring
preload while the
motorcycle is being ridden
can lead to accidents.
Adjust the spring preload on-
ly when the motorcycle is
stationary.
Make sure ground is level
and firm and park the mo-
torcycle.
