Dante Controller
Dante Controller software is required in order to setup and configure the IP250UHD devices as well as control your
Dante network. Audinate provide extensive training videos and documentation on their website. This can be found
here:

Upon connecting your IP250UHD unit to a compatible network, the Dante Controller software should automatically
discover the devices. The IP250UHD will appear in Dante Controller with a name denoted with “IP250-TX” or "IP250-
RX". On the “Routing” screen you can create audio routing between Dante transmitters and receivers in your system.
Please ensure your PC is on the same network as your Dante devices. Dante is not able to transmit over WiFi and it
is recommended to hardwire into the Dante network. Having multiple network devices enabled can also confuse
the Dante Controller software so it is recommended to disable WiFi during configuration.
Interoperability
The IP250UHD units can be used in conjunction, or added into existing IP100UHD and IP200UHD Multicast systems.
IP200UHD products are interchangable with IP250UHD units, with the exception of USB (IP100UHD only), Dante audio
and Optical audio functionality. However, the following needs to be considered prior to adding in IP250UHD products
to an existing IP100UHD Blustream Multicast system:
• USB / KVM connectivity and routing is not available with Blustream IP100UHD units.
• The firmware version of all IPxxxUHD units should be the same for the full feature set of the Multicast system to be
used, and the units to work seamlessly together.
• For firmware versions of the IP100UHD-TX / RX that are currently loaded with the firmware
A1.3.4
or lower, the
internal MCU of the unit must be updated
before
updating the firmware to a later version.
• The MCU firmware update can only be undertaken by a member of the Blustream Support Team, and is not
available for installers / integrators to carry out. Please contact Blustream on the email address noted below.
