SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
General safety guidelines
• Read the instructions in the manual carefully. It has important information
both for operation use and for your safety.
• Do not use faulty appliances.
•
Maintenance and repairs must be carried out by a qualified person only.
• Retain these instructions for future reference.
Special safety guidelines
•
The appliance shall not be used in high rise flats, in bathrooms, basements,
bedrooms or any room less than 84 m³ in volume. Do not use the appliance
in vehicles, caravans, auto caravans or in a boat.
• Do not move the appliance when operating, shocks and bumps may
activate the safe device.
• Do not direct the heater towards equipment, furniture, curtains or
anything else that may catch fire.
• Do not use your heater while sleeping.
•
Use it only in a well-ventilated room. Ventilation is vital for the efficient
performance of this heater and for safety of the occupants of the room
in which it is being used. Allow plenty of fresh air in, never seal up the
doorways and windows.
• The surface of the device housing, especially in the area of the heat
exchanger, becomes very hot. Make young children as well as old and
vulnerable persons aware of the risk of burns and keep them away from
the heater!
• Never leave the appliance unattended when in use.
• The normal dress guard only protects against accidental clothing contact.
Do not place clothes or other material on the heater. Keep all flammable
materials at least one metre away from the heater.
• Turn off the gas valve and gas supply after its application.
• Never use or store solvents and pressure pack cans near a gas heater -
even if the heater is turned off.
•
Never dispose of rubbish such as cigarette butts in a gas fire-this can affect
combustion and produce dangerous pollutants.
• Always operate the gas control and cylinder valve from the side or rear of
the heater. Standing in front of the heater exposes you to the risk of burns.
• Do not use the heater with a programmer, timer or any other device that
switches the heater on automatically.
• After use, turn off the appliance at the regulator switch on the valve and
the regulator disconnected from the cylinder.
• The appliance is suitable for 15 kg/5 kg LPG containers.
•
Do not twist the flexible tube or the hose. The hose should be checked
regularly for your safety, replace it if necessary.
