Water Pump
With the truck turned off, engage main power switch.
Push PTO start button to engage water pump.
Does the water pump clutch engage?
Yes / No
Yes / No
Yes / No
Note: Ensure that the fresh water tank is full, the water pump
has oil and that the wye strainer is clean before proceeding.
Are the belts in good condition
and properly adjusted?
Disconnect water tank float switch.
Does the clutch engage?
Replace water tank
float switch.
Check voltage at
connection (12V min.).
Is voltage present?
Replace belts.
Disconnect the water outlet line from the
pump. Attach a hose to the pump and and
place in a 5 gallon pail marked in 1 gallon
increments. Start the unit and turn on the
water pump. It should fill to the 1 gallon
marks every 17 seconds.
Is the pump output adequate?
Yes / No
Check voltage going out of
water pump power switch
Is voltage present?
Reconnect float switch.
Disconnect pump clutch wire
and check voltage (12V min.).
Is voltage present?
Yes / No
Replace pressure
regulator.
Yes / No
Replace clutch.
Remove and inspect
check valves in the pump.
Are they in good condition
and operating properly?
Check voltage going into
water pump power switch
Is voltage present?
Yes / No
Yes / No
Yes / No
Repair or replace
water pump.
Replace check
valves.
Repair or replace wiring
as required from power
switch to float switch.
Replace switch.
Repair or replace wiring
as required to switch.
