(RAM) as needed (up to

) to the video system (
the video driver must be in-
stalled
). DVMT returns whatever memory is no longer needed to the operating sys-
tem (see
“Total Graphics Memory (Advanced Menu > Advanced Chipset
Control)” on page 5 - 8
).
DVMT Notes
DVMT is not local video
memory.
DVMT is not user-con-
figurable.
DVMT will not function
in MS-DOS. DOS uses
the legacy memory indi-
cated.
